The Club held their AGM via Zoom on Sunday.

Addressing the members online, chairman Richard Hemmings congratulated everyone on the club’s best playing season since the 1990s, with the Saturday 1st XI finishing runners up in, and the Saturday 2nd XI winning their respective Chilterns League divisions in a shortened programme. Above all though, in spite of everything, the sheer amount of cricket played across the adult and junior sections was a real credit to the members rallying round to support their club. Head of cricket, Nigel Bruce, was thanked for the smooth operation of outdoor net practice which meant the Green was the first local club to resume activity when restrictions allowed. RBWM was also thanked for their direct grant which enabled the club to function with the usual revenue streams severely curtailed.
Looking ahead, preparations are well underway for next season, with groundskeeper Gary Hales completing a deep drilling operation to improve the sustainability of the square. A second Sunday team is planned to provide opportunities for the burgeoning junior section to experience adult cricket. Any local clubs seeking friendlies are invited to contact Fixture Secretary, Steve Jinman for availability by email (sjinman@hotmail.com). Prospective players of any age are invited to contact Head of Cricket Nigel Bruce by email (nigel.bruce2@gmail.com). From 2021 there will be a flat membership fee of £100, with weekly coaching offered to all players regardless of age, as well as competitive and friendly cricket across the weekend from April onwards.
