On a very damp wicket PG won the toss and inserted Winchmore Hill but were unable to use the conditions to their advantage and with the aid of some poor catching allowed Winchmore to amass 230 runs for the loss of 2 wickets with all top 4 scoring well – Openers Dickson (51) & Dudderidge (47) putting on 92 for the first wicket. Followed by Banham who topped scored with 58no and assisted by Pearce 47no. Steve Curlewis was the only wicket taker for the Green returning figures of 15-7-40-2.
In reply the Green got to bad start losing Curlewis & Perera cheaply before the reliable Suprej Venkat and Jagsit Dhillon put on 80 for the third wicket. Once Dhillon lost his wickets there was a collapse losing 5 wickets for 15 runs. It was left to Tim Snapes & Shamanga to bat out the remaining 8 overs to save the draw with Green finishing 166-8. Winchmore Hill claiming 16 points to the Green’s 4.
